Providing a safe after-school environment for its students, staff, parents/guardians, volunteers and guests is of the utmost importance to New City Kids. Our goal is to always protect children and teens from any incidents of misconduct or harmful behavior, while also protecting staff, volunteers and visitors.
At New City Kids, we employ five key areas of policy as tools for overall safety and abuse prevention: annual staff training, a rigorous screening process, including fingerprint and background checks, for all staff and volunteers, a clear reporting process, maintaining a safe physical programming environment, and safeguarding practices that ensure transparency and safe supervision at all times.
